So this is why people go for a “shakedown” holiday. It is to shakedown all the things that can go wrong and will go wrong with a new and secondhand van. Don’t think that paying top dollar for a van will make you any less likely to have issues. You can purchase a million dollar house and still have issues so why not expect it with a house on wheels.
Have an emergency repair kit with cable ties, wire, tape in it just in case and there will be cases where you need these things. In this case a cable tie was not ridgid enough to use so I had to use a coathanger.
